The general idea remains the same however. The current stable release listed on the site is 2.22, so you may see some tables or variables in my pics that don't completely match up with yours if you using 2.22. I'll be using 2.23 BETA for this write up which isn't generally available for the mass public yet. Expectations of driveability or performance will VARY so once again, use this write up as a GUIDE and adjust your tables and tune to suit YOU and your goals/expectations. Time to post it where I learned all the information in the first place and see what the pros think. You'll notice that the guide has been designed around the 2004-2006 GTO but the principals remain the same for other vehicles with the 4L6x series. It is common for similar vehicles to have multiple transmission options available from the factory.I made this guide back in March 2010 and posted it on my " home" site. These transmissions can be found in the following vehicles however you should double check your application with the 16 bolt pan count.

The 4L60-E was found in the full range of General Motors vehicles including, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Isuzu, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and SAAB. The 4L60E will have a round plug with 11 wires. The non-electric shift will have a square wire plug with 2-4 wires. If unsure of your model, the 4L60E can be differentiated by looking at the wire plug going into the transmission. 1992-1993 are cross-over years, so your vehicle could have the earlier non-electronic transmission instead. The 4L60E and its variants were in production from 1992-2013 and can be identified by the square 16 bolt oil pan and 4 forward gears. Along with fixing these common problems, you'll also see an increase in the life of your transmission due to the reduced slippage. This shift kit has a newly designed isolator converter valve that works perfect in worn bores without special tools or machining. Reduces forward and low reverse clutch burnup.Fixes harmonic bounce that wears out pump and valves.The Transgo shift kit included in this kit, corrects prevents, or reduces the following complaints. This converter has a stock stall speed and will be fine for up to 500 hp
The torque converter that comes in this kit is balanced and pressure tested and has the heavy duty brazed turbine and Torrington bearings.
